The first generation Mercedes Vito was produced between 1996 and 2003. The second generation Mercedes Vito is more streamlined than its predecessor, but more importantly is powered by a new range of engines and a rear-wheel drive (RWD) drivetrain.
Both the old shape and the new shape Mercedes Vito vans have a form of fix point system in the roof, the old style vito has a T-track fitting built in down the length of the roof and the roof bar fitting kit slides into this. Once the roof bars are in the desired position, the feet are then tightened on to the track.
The new model Mercedes Vito has had a number of different types of fix points in the roof depending on the year of manufacture. The most common type is pre-drilled, threaded holes in the roof that the roof bar feet tighten down into. The kits that we supply come with all the various types of fixings for the new model Mercedes Vito van to enable fitting to any of the types that your van might have.
