Movable Bike Frame Holder
The entire bike frame holder can be easily released from the carrier, which makes it very easy to load the bikes, especially when you load many bikes. It is just as easy to attach again, to where it best corresponds with the position of the bike frame.
In its original form, the thule G5 909 will carry 3 bikes - but with the adapter (9081) the bike rack can be upgraded to carry 4 bikes. The picture shown on the left has this extra bike adapter fitted and shows how it clips on to the front of the Thule G5909 to give an extra track for the bikes wheels to sit in. An extra clamping bar is also supplied to lock the outside bike to the rest of them.
 Tilt function
The carrier can be tilted, which gives access to the boot even when bikes are mounted. With clearance for vans with large rear doors, like the VW T5. This is operated by pulling a realease handle just above where the cars number plate is fitted. The bike rack then drops down smoothly and raises back up again and automatically locks itself back into place.
